Main Street Song & Dance Lights Up Village Park

The performance group paid tribute to Beatles music in front of a good crowd Thursday at the park's gazebo.

The Main Street Song & Dance Troupe brought their high-energy performance to Thursday for the latest installment of the series.

The group performed medley from The Beatles, and several soloists performed as well under a setting sun on a beautiful night. The Menomonee Falls-based group is comprised of members from surrounding communities in the Milwaukee suburbs.

The Kiwanis Club and the Village Centre of Menomonee Falls have organized the Thursday evening and Friday afternoon concerts throughout the summer, and there aren't many remaining.

Here's a look at the remaining performances this summer:

MaryDel Rae Duo

When: Noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10

Where:

What: A popular twosome that features MaryDel Rae on guitar, percussion, and vocals, and John Spasaro on lead guitar and vocals. The duo plays classic rock, disco, country, and top 40.

Pavanne Band

When: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.

Where: Village Park

What: The quintet plays a variety of music from the '50s to today. The band includes a trumpet, bass, guitar, keys and vocals.

Roger Boll

When: Noon to 1 p.m.

Where: Mill Pond Park

What: Roger Boll has been playing his accordian for more than 40 years. He plays a wide variety of music on the unique instrument ranging from tunes from the '20s to the '70s.
