Since he could hold a newspaper or pick up a pen, Carl had a knack for the written word and was encouraged to write. When he left home to attend University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Carl studied the craft of journalism and earned his bachelor's degree in print journalism. Throughout college he put his skills to the test and wrote for the UWM Post and a monthly community paper in Bay View. Carl most recently was a staff writer for The Waukesha Freeman and The Oconomowoc Enterprise.
Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable.
Politics
I have never been attached to a single political party. Rather, I believe it is important to examine the unique challenges and opportunities that exist during each election. I vote for the candidate who can confront these challenges and seize opportunities to make the country, state and community better.
Local Hot-Button Issues
I am still digging into the pulse of the community to find what issues should be at the forefront. However, like most communities, residents want their children to receive a great education but are concerned about rising costs. As state funding continues to decrease, districts are given the difficult task of maintaining services with less funding.
Development is always a hotbed issue in a community. As we move into the future, it will be important to balance growth of Menomonee Falls while maintaining its identity.
However, never feel shy to tell me about an issue that deserves to have light shed on it. I want to be the objective voice for Menomonee Falls.

Hi Carl,
The Wee Welcome Inn purchased the Suburban preschool in Menomonee Falls and with contest you are having with childcare centers no one know that we are there. The picture you have on the website is the old sign is there a way to change the name and picture?

Barb,
When you enter the address for the store, did you put a space in between the N-- and the W----? If you did, enter the address without a space, that's the only way our mapping system recognizes the compound addresses and may be what your problem is.
If this doesn't work, it may be easier to just enter it as an announcement as well.
