Sussex, Falls Renew Rivalry Friday

The Indians look to remain undefeated Friday as they take on their cross-town rivals.

The fact that Menomonee Falls goes into Friday's matchup undefeated is just one more storyline for the Menomonee Falls and Sussex rivalry.

The Indians (4-0, 2-0 Greater Metro) will travel to Hamilton High School at 7 p.m. Friday to take on the Chargers (2-2, 1-1 Greater Metro). The Indians pulled out a 24-21 at Schumann Stadium in last year's matchup, which didn't go without controversy.

We all remember the student, who was disciplined, who planted a Sussex flag at the 50-yard line and "gestured" to the crowd during the opening ceremonies.

The Indians are led by Christian Almonte with 491 yards rushing. The Indians have manufactured just over 35 points a game. The Chargers are led by bruising running back Drew Patterson, who has amassed 513 yards rushing. The Chargers are average 33.8 points per game.
