Falls Wrestlers Win Regional Title

The Indians took home the Division 1 Regional championship Saturday at Sussex Hamilton. The team will travel to Arrowhead Tuesday night and wrestle for a birth in the state tournament.

The Menomonee Falls wrestling team captured the Division 1 Regional championship Saturday at Sussex Hamilton High School.

Falls wrestlers will now advance to team sectionals at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Arrowhead High School. The team will wrestle that evening for a birth in the state team tournament.

Falls wrestlers Jerott Holz, Billy Holz, Casey Crangle, and Ayoola Olapo all placed first in their weight class. The Indians had 12 of 14 wrestlers finish in the top four to qualify for the individual sectional at 10 a.m. Saturday in Oconomowoc, according to JSOnline.com.

If the Indians continue their dominance on the mats Tuesday, they’ll wrestle as a team for the state tournament held March 1-2 in Madison.Β
