Athletes Urged to Use Their Heads When it Comes to Concussions

Menomonee Falls Athletic Director Ryan Anderson released a video with helpful information about concussions for athletes returning for a new season.

The start of school means the return of books, pencils, and notebooks. But it also means the return of cleats, helmets and grass stains.

Before athletes hit the field in search of state championships and glory, Menomonee Falls Athletic Director is hoping parents and students take some time to watch an informational video about concussions.

It is estimated that there are some 100,000 to 300,000 sports-related concussions per year in the United States. Wisconsin also became the 36th state to enact an official concussion law for youth athletes.
