Want Taxation Representation? Citizen Group Takes it to County Level

The Waukesha County Taxpayer Association is being founded by members of a Menomonee Falls group.

Members of the Menomonee Falls Taxpayer Association, which supported two successful Village Board candidates in April, are forming a new organization to address issues at the county level.

The Waukesha County Taxpayer Association is “looking forward to working at the county level to help reduce the size of government and protect the taxpayers,” said Steve Welcenbach, president of the MFTA.

The MFTA was founded in 2012 on the heels of the village’s troubled loan to the Menomonee Falls Radisson. It also opposed paving of the Bugline Trail in addition to supporting the local candidates.
