Thief Crawls on All Fours for Smokes

A pair of men stole four cartons of cigarettes from the CVS Pharmacy along Appleton Avenue.

A pair of thieves took advantage of an unattended cashier counter last week at CVS Pharmacy in Menomonee Falls.

At roughly noon Aug. 27, a 30-year-old man entered the pharmacy to act as a lookout for his accomplice. The second man entered the pharmacy and crawled on his hands and knees to get behind the vacant counter, and stole four cartons of Newport 100 menthol cigarettes.

Both men left the store in a gold Honda Civic four-door vehicle. The vehicle had a moonroof and 7-spoke rims. The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Appleton Avenue. Police estimate the duo spent less than two minutes in the store.
