Police Beat: Window Shatters at Team Knockout
Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.
Of all the windows to smash, these vandals β if any were involved - could have chosen a better place than a business filled with mixed martial arts fighters.
At 4:48 p.m. Oct. 9, and 8-foot by 6-foot window in the front of was shattered. The owner of the business immediately looked out toward the parking lot and saw a silver vehicle leaving the building a far distance away.
The window was completely smashed, and not a single shard was left within the frame. There was no evidence at the scene, and officers do not have any suspects. A representative from a glass company said tempered glass panes can shatter from time to time without being struck.

- At roughly 11 a.m. Wednesday a handbag was found in the ditch on the west side of Lannon Road across from a home at W204N5823 Lannon Rd. The handbag was returned to the owner who said she was never in that area. Loose change, $3, receipts and some rewards cards were missing.
- The owner of , N57W13556 Reichert Ave., has requested assistance from police in pursuing the identity of a Craigβs List user. He said the user has maliciously slandered and made derogatory statements toward the ownerβs request for job applicants.
- At 4:14 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to a home on the W14000 block of Cleveland Avenue for suspicious circumstances at the residence. When officers arrived, they discovered the home was cluttered, unsanitary and a potential hazard. Neighbors say the home is unoccupied and is rarely visited.
- Somtime between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 7 and 9 a.m. Oct. 8, six cast iron drainage grates were stolen from Autoquip, N57W13430 Reichert Ave. The drainage gates weighed roughly 30 pounds each, and the total loss is estimated at $450.
- At 3:21 p.m. Oct. 9, two suspects were witnessed stealing scrap metal from a dumpster at Trombetta, N88W13901 Main St. Both suspects were arrested, and one of the suspects had two warrants with the Town of Brookfield Police Department.
- A 50-year-old Menomonee Falls woman brought her daughter into the police station Oct. 7 claiming she was in possession of stolen property. The property was queried and did not turn up stolen. The property was taken into inventory.
- A 19-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for his first-offense OWI at 5:33 p.m. Oct. 8. A witness called to report his driving, and officers found he was in possession of prescription drugs.
- A male suspect driving a Chevrolet Suburban stole $143.90 worth of gasoline from , N71W13161 Appleton Ave. The Suburban was a white 90s model with running boards and chrome rims.
