Police Arrest Trio of Mail Thieves

The arrests come roughly one month after the police department issued a warning to residents about a series of thefts occurring.

Area police officers arrested individuals suspected of stealing documents from mailboxes in Menomonee Falls.

The Brookfield Police Department last week took three people into custody for theft of mail in the city. Two Menomonee Falls residents’ mail was among the stack in the trio’s possession. Both residents wished to press charges against the suspects involved in the theft.

The arrests come 20 days after the Menomonee Falls Police Department issued a notice urging residents to use secure U.S. Post Office mailboxes to send mail that contained personal information. Between April 5 and April 16, the department had received three reports of thefts from mailboxes.
