Obituary: Robert Fred “Bob” Luebbering

Bob was born in Cincinnati and moved to Menomonee Falls in 1971, but retained enthusiasm for the Cincinnati Reds. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, being the armchair coach for the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Robert Fred “Bob” Luebbering  was born to Eternal Life on September 11, 2013 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Jane “Lynn” (nee Ruehl), widow of Joseph C. Amick. Loving father of Teresa L. Luebbering (Ron Jaeger). Step-father of Robert S. Amick and the late Judith R. (the late James) Kimmel (nee Amick). Proud grandfather of Joseph Amick, Michael Amick, Elyse Jaeger, Chelsea Jaeger and Danielle Jaeger. Great-grandfather of Wyatt Amick. Brother of Ruth (Charles) Snively and William (Agnes). Preceded in death by his sister Eleanor. Further survived by other relatives and friends. 

Bob was born in Cincinnati and moved to Menomonee Falls in 1971, but retained enthusiasm for the Cincinnati Reds. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, being the armchair coach for the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He loved the Wisconsin Badgers, being a season ticket holder since 1975. Bob was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Masonic organizations for more that 60 years, including the Carthage Masonic Lodge #573 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati and the Syrian Temple Shrine of Cincinnati. He retired from General Electric after 32 years of dedicated service.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Menomonee Falls Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home. A service will follow immediately after. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20 at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Please meet in the green parking area.
