April 4, 1946 - September 2, 2012

James R. "Jim" Ruben of Menomonee Falls, died peacefully at home September 2, 2012, age 66 years. Beloved husband  and best friend of Pamela for 23 years, son-in-law of Robert and IllaMae Hansen, dear brother of Barbara (Jim) Markiewicz, Mary Ruben, Pat (Steve) Sommer, Diane (Bob) Kannenberg, Betty (David) Beck, Deborah (Jim) Burns, Kenneth (Jan) Ruben, and Joy Frerking. Further survived by brother-in-law Keith (Lori) Hansen, and sisters-in-law Sharyn (Jim) Massung and Jean Hansen, 26 nieces and nephews, 7 great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Born in Winona, Minnesota, and raised in Fountain City, Wisconsin, Jim graduated from Winona State University with a BA in Accounting and later earned his CPA. Jim loved to read, watch and attend sporting events, and sing in the church choir. He especially enjoyed their two cats, Copperfield and Christie, who were his constant companions and watched over him during his final days.

Visitation at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, September 6, and from from 9-10 a.m. September 7, at St. John UCC, N104W14181 Donges Bay Road, Germantown. Interment at the church cemetery.
