Falls' Independent Skate Shop Closing Its Doors

Tweakboarding will close in March unless a purchaser comes forward to take over the business.

Menomonee Falls’ only independent skate shop will be closing in March unless someone decides to purchase the business.

Tweakboarding owners John and Courtney McCool announced Tuesday that they would be closing the shop March 1 unless someone came forward to purchase the business. Tweakboarding opened in fall of 2010, and it is located in downtown Falls at N88W16739 Main St.

“I am ready to move on and start a family. I have been pulled in many directions and have not had the time to fully dedicate myself to the shop. We hope someone that can dedicate more time to the shop is able to take on the business,” said John McCool in a statement on the Tweakboarding webpage. “This is not the first local skate shop to go under in the Milwaukee area. If you appreciate the convenience of having a local shop, we recommend that you shop there and not online or at Zumiez.”

The McCools purchased Tweakboarding from original owners, Rachel and Dennis Siegrist, last year. If you are interested in purchasing the business, contact the McCool’s via the Tweakboarding Facebook page.
