Traffic Map: Snow, Winds Complicating Friday Commute

The National Weather Service has issued a "hazardous weather outlook" for southeast and south central parts of Wisconsin. Snow is expected to last until about 3 p.m.

It's back. The snow that is, and it is windy and messy. Conditions are expected to be that way trhoughout the afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a "hazardous weather outlook" for southeast and south central parts of Wisconsin.Β Snow is expected to last until about 3 p.m., with areas of blowing snow starting at around noon,Β according to the National Weather Service.Β

"The windy conditions ... falling temperatures ... and falling snow will produce blowing snow and greatly reduce visibilities at times in eastern Wisconsin," the weather outlook explained. "The burst of snow and wind will make for hazardous travel over the Milwaukee metropolitan area by late morning an through the afternoon. The heaviest snow and greatest wind will occur around the middle of the day."

Gusts of wind could reach 30 mph with snow accumulations between 2 and 3 inches, according to the weather service.
