The Week Ahead: Neighborhood Watch to Honor Its Citizen of the Year
Things to do this week in the village.
Here's a look at a few things coming up this week in Menomonee Falls.
Annual Chili Dinner: The Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls Annual Chili Dinner fundraiser will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at l before the boys basketball Game against West Allis Central. Tickets cost $6 (children 4 and under are FREE). All proceeds collected go toward scholarships for local youths.
Wild Ones presentation: The Wild Ones club will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Menomonee Falls Public Library. A showing of “Green Fire,” a film about Aldo Leopold’s land ethic will be followed by a discussion. For more information contact 414 881-4017.

Movie night at the library: Enjoy a free movie, “The Help” at 1 p.m. at the library. The movie features Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Bryce Dallas Howard, and is directed by Tate Taylor. Based in 1960’s Mississippi, a southern girl comes home from college and decides to interview African-American women who take care of upper class families.
School board meeting: The Menomonee Falls School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Village Hall board room.

Citizen of the Year: At 7 p.m. Thursday, the Menomonee Falls Neighborhood Watch will recognize Kyle Kranz as its 2011 Citizen of the Year in the Village Hall board room. Kyle is a very special individual who was nominated for the award for overcoming certain difficulties to become a valued and contributing member of the community.
