The Week Ahead: School District Hosting Rountable Discussion

Here's a peek at what's on the calendar this week in Menomonee Falls.

Village Board meeting: The Menomonee Falls Village Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Village Hall. Director of Engineering Tom Hoffman will present an update on construction projects in the village in 2011, and Village Board members will discuss the future of the Pilgrim Road and Main Street intersection as the moves forward in the Pilgrim Village shopping center.

District rountable discussion: The Menomonee Falls School District is inviting stakeholders to participate in a rountable discussion about the schools from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at the library. The roundtable discussion is a less formal way to discuss school district issues with School Board members.

Holiday open house: The center will host an open house from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday. The public is invited to attend and see what life is like at the facility.

Boys basketball: The Menomonee Falls boys basketball team will look to rebound from their opening game at 7 p.m. Friday as the hit the road to take on Brookfield Central High School. The Indians lost 73 to 52 Friday to Brookfield East.

Holiday "Drop and Shop": The Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls along with the partnership of the School District of Menomonee Falls Community Education & Recreation Department is sponsoring its first annual Parent's Holiday Drop & Shop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.Β  The event is being held at the located at W152N8645 Margaret Rd and is free and open to children between the ages of 3 (potty trained) and 12.Β  There will be many activity areas which include craft making, story reading, movie time, active game area and many other exciting fun surprises.
