North Students Send Valentines to Vets

More than 400 veterans will receive a Valentine from grateful students.

More than 400 veterans will be receiving a Valentine this year from a grateful child, thanks to North Middle School.

Through North’s Where Everybody Belongs (WEB) program, 72 WEB leaders (eighth-graders chosen as yearlong role models for sixth-graders) baked 554 cookies for their younger friends last week.

The groups then joined each other to devour the cookies, and the eighth-graders helped direct the sixth-graders in their card making. Sixth-graders created a total of 414 cards.
