It was another wekk filled with news in the village. Here is a collection of noteworthy headlines that appeared during the week in case you missed them. 

Police respond to tactical situation, suspect charged

The Menomonee Falls Police Department called in a tactical enforcement team Monday night man threatening to shoot neighbors and police.

Brian W. Dujmovic was then Wednesday with one count of pointing a firearm, one count of disorderly conduct with dangerous use of a weapon, two counts of disorderly conduct, one count of obstructing an officer and one count of resisting an officer.

According to court records, Dujmovic is out after posting $20,000 cash bail.

New apartments planned for downtown

Brayton Management owner Bill Bode said the demand for rental housing in Menomonee Falls has risen to a level he has never seen before. That’s why he’s anxious to get started on a that’s been four years in the making.

School board introduces new superintendent

Patricia Herdrich   — actually, reintroduced herself — to Menomonee Falls Monday as the School Board unanimously approved appointing her as the district’s new superintendent.

Herdrich will take the district reigns from Keith Marty on July 1 as he leaves to become the superintendent of Parkway School District in suburban St. Louis. Herdrich is just the sixth superintendent in the 68-year history of the district. She is also Falls' first female superintendent.

Man charged for stealing $40,000 in jewelry from JC Penney

Christopher R. Giacoletto was circuit Court Monday with one count of theft of a business setting for allegedly stealing jewelry from, N96W18515 County Line Rd., and then pawning it at area jewelry stores. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

Kohl's could leave Menomonee Falls?

Menononee Falls-based Corp. could potentially move its headquarters out of the village as that they aren't ruling out any possibilities for a new headquarters, according to published reports.
