Flight for Life Called After Car vs. Motorcycle Crash

A 65-year-old man sustained serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle. The crash shut down traffic on Appleton Avenue and Menomonee Avenue for more than three hours Monday.

A 65-year-old man driving a motorcycle was seriously injured Monday after a vehicle struck him amidst rush-hour traffic on Appleton Avenue and Menomonee Avenue.

At roughly 5 p.m. Monday, the man was driving his motorcycle southbound on Appleton Avenue when a vehicle traveling westbound on Menomonee Avenue struck him, according to a news release from the Menomonee Falls Police Department. The man was immediately rushed to Froedtert Hospital via Flight for Life with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.            

Officers diverted traffic at the busy intersection for more than three hours as they investigated the accident scene. The accident remains under investigation.
