Summer Movie Line Up Starts This Weekend

With plenty of buzz over 'The Avengers' movie goers will have an early start to a busy season at the cinema.

posted a rundown of the films of summer, which begin this weekend, about six weeks before it actually is summer.

As "The Avengers" gets the summer movie line-up off to an early start May 4, Johnny Depp's latest movie (and director Tim Burton's latest, too) "Dark Shadows" follows in the next weekend, along with the alien attack adventure, "Battleship." Also considered anticipated returns are Batman in "The Dark Knight Rises," Will Smith in "Men in Black III." 

New family films include Pixar’s newest, "Brave," "Ice Age: Continental Drift," "Madagascar 3-Europe’s Most Wanted," and "Diary of a Whimpy Kid: Dog Days."

Whitney Houston will be seen in her last performance as well in the movie "Sparkle."
