Finding Peace in New Digs

Peace Yoga Studio owner Diane Sutrick has found a permanent home for her business, and is looking forward to continued growth.

In just over two years Diane Sutrick has moved her business, Peace Yoga Studio, to three locations in downtown Menomonee Falls. However, it seems three times is charm for her growing enterprise.

Sutrick has moved from the world of signing leases to signing deeds, and she’s the proud owner of the once vacant building at N89W16800 Appleton Ave., which is next to Petro Mart. It’s a location that she hopes will provide some permanent peace.

“I’m just really excited to finally have my own building. It’s such a joy to come into work every day and do something that I love,” Sutrick said. “This will give me an opportunity to grow, hold more classes, and become more diverse.”

After she purchased the building, she promptly remodeled the interior and added wood floors, additional rooms, and added an always-fragrant fresh coat of paint. Sutrick will also be sitting on the other side of the table as a leaser rather than a lessee. Both the Healing Space and Molesky Chiropractic well rent spaces at Peace Yoga.

However, the services offered by the trio of businesses complement each other in a harmonious balance – jiving well with the theme of peace at Sutrick’s studio.

“The chiropractor actually has a patented class called ‘Chiroga,’ where he blends chiropractic alignment techniques into a yoga class,” Sutrick said. “It seems like it’s serendipity. It’s all worked out.”

The Healing Space is a holistic healing center offering counseling, massage, aromatherapy, energy healing, stress management, and yoga.

Sutrick said she plans to onboard a few more instructors and expand the number of daytime and nighttime offerings for customers. Now that she owns the building, she has the unlimited flexibility for scheduling. In her former location, the Bradley Realty building, she shared space with other tenants.

Sutrick will be showcasing her new digs to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday during the Ducky Derby, Art on the Walk, and Sidewalk Sale. The first class will actually be held at 8:15 a.m. Saturday. She’ll open the space officially on June 1, and plans to hold a Grand Opening June 29.
