Falls' Political Humorist Sets Sights on Kim Jong-un

Making waves for fun has been a speciality for a Falls native, and this time he's poking some fun at North Korea's Supreme Leader.

A Menomonee Falls grad made a few headlines during the election season for his Photoshopped caricatures of presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.

Now, Falls’ political humorist Reuben Glaser has crossed international waters to alter the images of oft bellicose North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un. Glaser’s newest photo-altering project is an attempt to “see past the slick media and camera angles of North Korea,” and show the Supreme Leader in a new light.

Within 72 hours, nearly 2,000 citizens of Facebook have followed the bit, and the audience is growing. His . Glaser himself admitted that the Kim Jong-un joke will likely be short lived.

You’ll remember — back in Oct. 2011 — Glaser caused a bit of a stir when he produced Kurt Heins’ campaign video for Waukesha County Clerk. The Waukesha Freeman ran story about the campaign, and flames were further fanned by a blog post on Patch.

When media scrutiny amplified for the upstart Heins campaign, Glaser was was abruptly "fired" from his post as Chief Strategist and Campaign Manager for the Heins campaign. According to a post on the "campaign" page, Glaser was abruptly fired for "disobeying" Mr. Heins in what was called "insubordination."

Glaser and Heins admitted that the whole stunt was a senior prank.
