Village Awards Contract For Willowood And Rotary Park Improvements

Village awards an $88,000 contract to a Greenfield company for improvements at both parks.

The playground equipment at both and will receive needed improvements after getting funding approval from the Village Board Tuesday.

The board awarded an $88,700 contract to company to disassemble equipment, and install upgrades and each park. A new swing set and playground structure will be installed in Rotary Park. A new swing set will be installed in Willowood Park.

The plan also includes improvements to the grading and drainage of the baseball field. Additionally, a new roof and security lighting will be installed at the pavilion.

Both parks will also have a rubberized playground surface and sidewalks installed. The contract was awarded to Bluemel’s Maintenance Service in Greenfield.

The company’s bid was significantly lower than estimated engineering costs, which were $110,000. The project is estimated to be complete in early November.
