Championship Season Ends With Loss to Rivals

The Menomonee Falls High School girls soccer team's season ended Thursday in with a loss to Germantown. However, the girls still won the team's first Greater Metro Conference title this year.

The girls on the Menomonee Falls Indians varsity soccer team have nothing to hang their heads about.

Although the girls lost to rivals Germantown High School 1-0 Thursday in Menomonee Falls, it was still a season to celebrate. The Indians went 17-2-2 on the year, and took home the first Greater Metro Conference title in team history. It was also the best record any girls team ever amassed at MFHS.

"Thanks to all the Falls fans that came out tonight to support the team! Despite coming up short in tonight's game. I'm so proud of the FANS and the team," wrote Head Coach Scott Stein on the Menomonee Falls High School Athletics Facebook page.

The Indians dominated possession in the first half, but Germantown adjusted at halftime and controlled the tempo. Germantown scored on a breakaway goal by Kayla Schlosser, and was assisted by Jamie Karch.
