The New Falls Pub & Grill Pulled Pork Sandwich


The Falls Pub & Grill officially re-opened under new owners Thursday, and I decided to stop out and try their specialty menu item - the pulled pork sandwich.

The pulled pork sandwich is owner Heather Gibler's personal recipe. She said the sandwich will remain one of the highlights on the small but varied menu.

For $8 the sandwich comes with a choice of waffle fries or steamed seasonal vegetable. Be prepared to use your utensils and napkins for this one. The sandwich is stacked high with savory pork atop a pretzel bun. You'll definitely need to do some cleanup with fork.

"We're very simple, but we don't short change you on portions," Gibler said. "We're hoping to be more family oriented, and will have Legos at the tables for the kids. We aren't trying to be a bar, we are focusing on being a restaurant."

Gibler, of Thiensville, began her journey as a bar owner Thursday. The menu includes pizza, burgers, appetizers, soups and salads. They also have a $5 Saturday and Sunday breakfast special.

Falls Pub & Grill is open 3-9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, and closed on Mondays.
