I am a budding journalist originally from the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee. I attended St. Thomas More High School and graduated from Marquette University's journalism program in May 2011.
I credit my parents, two history buffs who always kept our house well-stocked with books, newspapers and magazines, for leading me toward the writing profession. I'm a curious, social person who enjoys hearing others' stories and exploring new ideas. I've found journalism has allowed me to develop a better understanding of my immediate surroundings and the world at large.
Before coming to Patch, I worked for the Marquette Tribune and interned at the Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee. I enjoy writing features, but also love the rush of breaking news. I plan on pursuing a career in political writing.
Aside from journalism, I enjoy playing soccer, traveling and playing piano.
