Lime Kiln Park Main St & Appleton Ave, Menomonee Falls, WI53051 Lime Kiln Park is a reminder of one of the earliest forms of commerce in Menomonee Falls. The village rests atop the…More Niagara Escarpment, one of the few exposures of bedrock in Southeast Wisconsin. The dolomite limestone of this formation was used for building stone and to make lime for mortar, cement and agriculture. The production of lime involved burning and slaking limestone in large wood-fired kilns. The park also offers scenes of the original falls in the Menomonee River that gave the village its name. It's a nice place for a picnic or a stroll.
