Falls Fest Isn't the Only Fest on a Busy Milwaukee Weekend

Festivals, football (both kinds) and fairs dominate the coming weekend in Menomonee Falls and elsewhere.

This weekend in Menomonee Falls is all about Falls Fest, and if you’re going, check Patch’s main Falls Fest page with links to every daily schedule.

But what if Falls Fest isn’t your thing? The artist in you might enjoy Richfield Art at the Mill on Saturday, or bring your kids to the Mill Street Folkart Gallery to build a complex mobile using Perler beads, starting at 10 a.m.

One of the biggest county fairs in southeast Wisconsin is the Washington County Fair, and it continues through Sunday. Darius Rucker — once of Hootie and the Blowfish — is the Friday music headliner and Daughtry tops the bill Saturday.  Fair tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for kids 7-12; concert admission will set you back more.

And it wouldn’t be a Wisconsin summer weekend without more festivals. You can check out Germanfest at Maier Festival Park, Milwaukee Brewfest on the lakefront or the Brady Street Festival.

Sports fans can drive up to Green Bay for the first weekend of Packers training camp, or find a TV at a “soccer bar” like AJ O’Brady's at 3 p.m. Sunday to see the USA try to win the CONCACAF Gold Cup over Honduras. (Because, frankly, that’s what I might do.)
