The Target Corporation is the national sponsor of NNO. In Menomonee Falls, local Target Manager Richard Robinson and Assistant Manager, Chad Anderson were instrumental in this success by hosting the event in their parking lot and supplying volunteers from the employee base as well as supplies.

In its own small way, Menomonee Falls Patch helped the make the event a success by running the popcorn wagon on the humid summer day. Fortunately, dark clouds loomed, but the rain held off.

The committee, chaired by , Bill Schmitz, wishes to acknowledge the contributions by MFPD Liaison officer, Jim Kirchberger, Captain Tod Doebler of the Menomonee Falls Fire Department and the Brookfield, West Allis and Waukesha Police Departments for their mentorships.

“Without the support of the entire community and our Block Captains, along with the police and fire department command staffs and officers, this event would not have been nearly as successful as it was,” Schmitz said. “We also wish to thank the many organizations that participated and both entertained us as well as manned informational booths. When you add the help and equipment contributed by the village’s maintenance department and the school district it became truly an all-village effort and we should all be proud of the award, and share in the recognition”
