We Are No Longer Milwaukee's 'Poor Cousin'

Recently I wandered up to Sal's for lunch..... they have a shrimp poorboy with coleslaw that is wonderful - try it. The following day, Tim and I headed to Angelos for the birthday bash he had.  There were awesome burgers and beer for our meal. 

Has anyone thought about the fact that the Village Centre has this incredible array of chef owned restaurants along with the other great eateries.  There are 10 of them within walking distance, and each is distinct and with its own wonderful menu. You could eat out for a month and not eat the same thing.  Do we talk this up enough?  Have you participated in the Downtown Experience which is a gastronomic evening of trying the food of, I believe, four or five restaurants for a one price.  

The middle of this month there will be four art galleries on and just off of Main Street. I was in Cedarburg this week, I think they have three, original, art venues left.  

Purloin Studio has the last "bookshop", in the Falls, which is located in its gallery.

Our salons are outstanding, the florist is award winning, and a quilt shop whose owner travels the US giving classes/demo's or talks. Our clothing boutique, on Main Street carrys a wide variety of high end clothing and accessories.

Talk us up Menomonee Falls, we are no longer the "poor cousin" of Milwaukee! We stand on our own two feet, our customers are from all over southeastern Wisconsin and Illinois.  We are the home of some international and national corporate headquarters, we have the prototype of the new Radission Hotel on our eastern border.   This is a wonderful community.  Come discover the unexpected and the wildlife on the Mill Pond.
