Create It And They Will Come

Johnson's Nursery recreated the Lepper Mill Island with new plantings and lots of mulch.  

The new landscape will take a couple of years to mature, but it is a beautiful forefront to the waterfall.  Tim and I decided to donate a sculpture created for the island by Dieter Stipe of Plymouth Wisconsin.  The piece, "Heron", is in the window of Purloin Studio on Main St. (across from Associated Bank).

Visitors to the Village Centre have been spending time gazing at and photographing the new look.  Our big, real live, heron has been posing for everyone.  Several have treked onto the island which brings me back to the title of this blog -
