Beat the Heat, and Take a Dip in Falls

The Recreation Department is hosting a "Surfin' Safari" event Friday, and you can swim to your favorite tunes provided by DJ Dylan.

Remember when you asked for summer in the throes of winter? Well, it's here, and it's hot. 

The mercury is expected to hover in the 90s the rest of the week, and the area is under a heat advisory until July 19, according to the National Weather Service. 

North Middle School Pool 

Open swim hours are from 1-3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 7-9 p.m. Monday and Friday. Don’t forget to stop by Friday evening for the Menomonee Falls Recreation Department's  "Surfin’ Safari" event. Listen to your favorite music provided by DJ Dylan, while cooling down in the pool. 

Menomonee Park 

Take a dip in the crisp waters of Quarry Lake, and perhaps stay the night and camp under the stars. The beach is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day from June 1 through August. Camping is first come, first serve at the 33 individual sites. You can also reserve group sites
