Simone Lee Earns Spot on National Volleyball Team...Again

Lee will compete in Thailand from July 25 to Aug. 4.

Menomonee Falls top-notch volleyball player, Simone Lee, is once again taking her talents to an  international stage. 

Lee made the final cut for the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Volleyball team after tryouts concluded in Colorado Springs Wednesday. Lee is part of the 12-person team that will travel to Ratchisima, Thailand July 25 through Aug. 4 for the 2013 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship. She will play outside hitter. 

Last year, Lee led the national team in scoring and helped secure gold at the NORECA Girls’ Youth Continental Championship game. That victory qualified the team for the 2013 world championship. 

Lee, a 6-foot, 1-inch outside hitter, has verbally committed to play volleyball at Penn State University after graduating in 2014, according to Milwaukee Sting volleyball – her club team.
