Scott Stein Named Girls Soccer Coach of the Year

It was a historic season for the girls soccer team in 2013, and it's no surprise that the accolades soon followed.

Head Coach Scott Stein earned the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Coach of the Year honor. The honor was bestowed Wednesday by Journal Sentinel sports writer Mark Feldmann.

Stein led the girls to their first Greater Metro Conference title in team history after the Indians posted a 17-2-2 record. The girls' season came to an end in the WIAA sectional semifinal after a 1-0 loss to Germantown. The 17-2-2 season was also the best record the girls have ever amassed on the season.

Individual team members also earned honors from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel all-area team. They are as follows:

  • Anna Smalley, 1st Team
  • Jen Eberhardy, 2nd Team
  • Sammy Lehnen, 2nd Team
