JP Tokoto Wins Slam Dunk Contest in New Orleans

Tokoto was getting big air in the Big Easy and took home the trophy in the American Family Insurance Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships.

Menomonee Falls' JP Tokoto went through his legs, spun a 360, and even lept over 6-foot, 5-inch defensive tackle Michael Brockers on his way to claiming the hardware in the American Family Insurance Slam Dunk contest in New Orleans, which was broadcast Sunday on CBS.Β

Tokoto, headed to University of North Carolina next year, opened the contest with a windmill dunk off the glass that earned him straight tens from the judges. In the final round, Tokoto landed his 360 reverse eastbay as time was about to expire. That dunk gave him the victory over Shaquille Johnson, who is another high-flying athlete recruited to play basketball at Auburn University next year.

In case you missed the broadcast Sunday, we found some clips of what you missed.
