Indians Remain Perfect After Overtime Win

Bryce McMurtry rushed for a game-winning touchdown in overtime to keep the Indians' record unblemished. Next week, it's Sussex Hamilton.

The Menomonee Falls Indians improved to 4-0 on the year after a dramatic overtime victory over Brookfield Central Friday at Schumann Stadium.

The Indians defeated the Lancers 34-31 on a 3-yard rush from Bryce McMurtry on the second possession of the overtime period. The Lancers got the ball first and were forced to kick a field goal to take a fleeting 31-28 lead. The Lancers and Indians both scored a pair of touchdowns in each half to draw square after regulation.

Falls' Adam Vechart passed for two touchdowns on the night including a 57-yard pass to Christian Almonte in the second quarter. Almonte also returned a kickoff for 96 yards in the same quarter.

The Indians (4-0, 2-0 Greater Metro) will travel to Sussex Hamilton (2-2, 1-1 Greater Metro) to renew the bitter cross-town rivalry.
