Indians Earn 'Team of the Week' Honors

The team's big victory over Sussex Hamilton has earned the Indians varsity football team some acclaim heading into their game against Marquette University School.

The Menomonee Falls Indians will never win a football game by relying on the prior week’s results, but their 24-21 Sept. 21 win over Sussex Hamilton has earned the team acclaim.

The Indians were named the “Sports Radio 1250AM Team of the Week” Friday. Team captains Cole Hernikl, Justin Johnson, Adam Vechart, and Dan Bell were awarded the official plaque Friday. You can hear the station's high school sports commentators Mike “Big Time” McGivern and Ron Davies discuss the big win online.

The Indian also came a few votes shy of capturing “Team of the Week” honors on the Wissports.net poll. The Indians finished 22 votes behind the Stanley-Boyd Orioles who knocked off Division 5 state champions Colby 23-10 on Friday.
