GMC Football Preview for Week 2: Falls Faces a Fellow Unbeaten

Essentials: The closest game either one of these teams has played was . This week should provide a much better indication of where these teams stand in relation to the best teams in the GMC. East’s two non-conference foes, Grafton and Milwaukee South, each have failed to score a point so far in three games, while Falls’ three opponents have a combined record of 2-7.

The Indians’ Brett Krause leads the conference with five touchdowns throws, three to Justin Johnson. Zach Schober of East is the leading ball carrier in the conference with 345 yards and six touchowns. The Journal Sentinel ranks Menomonee Falls sixth in the area.

Sussex Hamilton (3-0, 1-0 GMC) at Brookfield Central (2-1, 1-0 GMC), 7 p.m. Friday

Essentials: The game features two of the very best running backs in the GMC; Hamilton’s Nick Patterson has 313 yards and seven touchdowns in three games while Central’s DeMario Harris has 276 yards and five scores in just two contests.

Essentials: East QB Kyle Vnuk has been impressive (33-59, 407 yards, 3 TDs)

West Allis Hale (1-2, 0-1) at Marquette (1-2, 0-1), 7 p.m. Friday

Essentials: Hale surprised Cedarburg to open but fell flat. Marquette has also lost two straight.
