The Menomonee Falls girls basketball team will begin its journey toward a state championship Friday against Hartford from the comforts of home.

The Indians (18-4, 11-3 Greater Metro) finished one game behind Sussex Hamilton to claim a tie for second place in the Greater Metro Conference this season. Their strong finished earned them the fourth seed in the state sectional. The Indians will square off against the fifth-seeded Hartford Orioles (15-7, 9-5 Little Ten) who were also second-place finishers in their conference.

Mikayla Robertson, who is averaging 10.8 points a game as a junior, leads the Indians this year in scoring and is the fifth leading scorer in the conference, according to Wissports.net. Junior Kayla Krassmann leads the Orioles in scoring averaging 11.2 points per game.
