Falls Executes Big Plays And Notches First Win of the Season

The Menomonee Falls varsity football team rebounded from an opening night loss in a big way, and walked over the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders 49-0 Friday at Schumann Stadium.

The Menomonee Falls Indians on Friday were looking to bounce back from a tough opening night loss to Oak Creek. Unfortunately for the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders, they were next on Indians’ schedule.

The Indians did all the heavy lifting in the first half and logged big play after big play to take a 49-0 lead before halftime at Schumann Stadium. The continuous clock rule was in effect for the second half, and Falls ended the game with the same score.

The Indians (0-1, 0-0 Greater Metro) ran into a staunchy Knights defense, penalties, and turnovers cost the team a win last week. Tosa East (1-0, 0-0 Greater Metro) had come off a 27-21 victory over Delavan-Darien last week. Friday's game is the conference opener for both teams.

The Indians (1-1, 1-0 Greater Metro) notched their first win in the conference, and evened their record. They’ll hit the road next week to take on Brookfield East in another conference matchup. The Red Raiders (1-1, 0-1 Greater Metro) will host West Allis Central Friday.

Check the game blog for scoring plays from Friday.

First of all, you don't pay taxes. Second, 90% of the proceeds go to huge corporations. Third, it isRead More very disingenuous for you to say that "80% of relief goes to President Obama's definition of middle-class taxpayers." In more appropriate words, that is a flat out LIE.

Yes I do pay taxes John. Got some bad weed again John, eh?

I agree with Nuitari (just this one time). I think I like the old version of the Patch MUCH better!

I agree too. But WISN likes to run the light version of news, only covering topics they feel weRead More should know about- or fits their agenda.
John Wilson June 14, 2013 at 01:43 pm
I think that the Patch is making a sincere effort to actually get into what Conservatives refer toRead More as “elite journalism.” What Conservatives mean by that is, people who read, write, present facts, and possess the ability to actually analyze written articles, and provide fact-based responses, rather than snarky, juvenile or scatological, religious dogma. Those of you still wearing your loin cloths since birth, and still living in your caves need not participate…
