Fifth-Ranked Indians Look to Remain Undefeated Friday

It's a battle of unbeaten Greater Metro Conference rivals Friday at Schumann Stadium.

The Menomonee Falls Indians look to continue their undefeated season Friday as they take on a tough Greater Metro Conference foe in Brookfield Central.

The games kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday at Schumann Stadium in Menomonee Falls.

The Indians (3-0) are ranked fifth in the state, according to the Week 3 Wissports.net Coaches Poll. The Indians have posted more than 40 points in their past two games, and opened the season with a hard-fought victory over Oak Creek. The team is led by running back Christian Almonte, who is averaging 7.1 yards per carry and has reached pay dirt four times this year.

The Lancers (3-0) are fresh off a 56-0 rout of Wauwatosa East, and have outscored their opponents 150-33 in the first three weeks of the season. The Lancers are led by Riley Richarz, who has already rushed for 8 touchdowns on the young season, according to Wissports.net.

Last year, the Indians defeated the Lancers 14-0.
