Falls Girls Keep Pace in GMC Softball

Menomonee Falls routed Brookfield East 9-1 in softball on Thursday to remain tied atop the Greater Metro Conference.

West Allis Hale beat Divine Savior Holy Angels 6-4, according to WisSports.net, so both teams are 9-1 and have split their two games in the conference season.

Rachel Kemnitz, Hailey Mohrfeld and Hailey Wilson each had two hits for the Indians, and Nicole Zywiec was the winning pitcher.

"We're feeling really good about ourselves," Mohrfeld told My Community NOW. "Lately, we've been scoring runs in bunches so it was good to see us get a few runs here and a few runs there, because being consistent is what's important."

Falls visits the two bottom teams in the league, West Allis Central and Wauwatosa East, on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.
