This victory made the Falls 4-0 against Brookfield teams in the Greater Metro Conference over the last two years. It's an achievement never completed by Falls.

Falls started the game strong Tuesday dominating possession of the ball. Unfortunately they were unable to net their first goal after one half of play.

The team celebrated parents' night at half-time. Players walked out on the field and were announced with their parents to show their appreciation. Head Coach Scott Stein was unable to give a half-time speech due to the celebration - but it may not have been needed.

Falls immediately netted their first goal just a minute into the second act. In the 41st minute, senior Matt Dwyer took a shot from well outside the 18-yard box and went in off a deflection putting Falls up 1-0.

The next 30 minutes went much the same as the first half. A plentiful amount of shots were taken by the Falls and also many from Brookfield. The game was tight and the Falls held a dangerously close lead.

Around the 75th minute a questionable call was made against Indians' junior midfielder Connor Young for a slide tackle at midfield. He was sent off with a red card. With five minutes to go, Falls had a 1-0 lead and down a man.

Falls showed resiliency with a man down. They charged down and a fantastic shot was taken by senior captain, Jake Brust, and he scored the second Falls goal. That goal secured Falls' victory and a sweep of Brookfield. The players of the game were later named by Coach Stein and he chose sophomore Joey Burgoyne, senior Matt Dwyer, and senior captain, Jake Brust for their game changing efforts.

Menomonee Falls (6-2-1, 2-0-0 Greater Metro) is currently ranked 8th in the state for boys soccer. Falls will take on Kettle Moraine at 7 p.m. Thursday in Menomonee Falls.
