College is an expensive investment for the future - especially in the medical field. However, Community Memorial Hospital is offering some assistance for students seeking health care careers.
The Community Memorial Foundation and Community Memorial Hospital staff are offering scholarships to provide area high school and undergraduate students pursuing careers in health care.
The deadline for submitting an application is March 1. Complete details and the application are available online.
Community Memorial offers scholarships to high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing health care or medical careers who reside in the hospital’s service area, which comprises Waukesha County, Washington County and the northwest side of Milwaukee County.
Students are selected by a scholarship committee based on their academic excellence, interest in health professions, scholarship need and enrollment in an accredited university or college.
“The generosity of our donors allows the Foundation to invest in the future of health care,” said Rick Binzak, volunteer chairman of the Board of Directors of Community Memorial Foundation. “Our annual scholarship program helps students in the community pursue their medical and health care careers, so they may enrich the health care field and community in the future.”
The scholarships are made possible because of donations to the Foundation.
