Ben Franklin Elementary Principal Resigns

Bil Zahn, a retired elementary school teacher from Elmbrook School District, will serve as the interim principal at the school.

Ben Franklin principal Steve Bold will resign from his position with the school.

Bold had taken a leave of absence, and over the holidays he decided to resign from his position effective June 30. Bold is working through personal challenges, according to a release from the school district. Bil Zahn, a retired elementary school teacher from Elmbrook School District, will serve as the interim principal at the school.

“Bil’s experience and commitment to children and families will serve Ben Franklin well,” stated Falls Superintendent Patricia Greco in a news release. “Bil Zahn and Mike Mullen will ensure all of the needs of children are met and the continuity for Ben Franklin is sustained in a positive manner.”

If the district can find a strong candidate for board consideration this year, they would move forward with a replacement mid-year. In the meantime, Zahn will serve the district.
