10 File for 3 Seats on Racine Unified School Board

Two of three incumbents are interested in keeping their seats on the Racine Unified School District's Board of Education.

It's official; we have contested races for three open seats on the Racine Unified School District's Board of Education.

District spokesperson Stacy Tapp confirmed with Patch Thursday that 10 RUSD residents have turned in the necessary paperwork to run for the Board. Sue Kutz, Julie McKenna and Chris Eperjesy are all up for re-election.

Of the three incumbents, Kutz was the only Board member to not seek re-election. She has been on the Board since 2004.

Having such a full field of candidates means district residents will choose the top six vote-getters in a primary sometime in February. The general election is Tues., April 2.

Here is the list of candidates for Racine Unified School District Board of Education, in alphabetical order:

Cecilia Anguiano, 2818 Loraine Ave.

Laura Betker, 2320 Gilson St.

Tifene Brown

Randall Bryce, 1718 Wind Dale Dr.

Christopher Eperjesy, 830 Waters Edge Rd.

Kristie Formolo, 4829 Old Green Bay Rd.

Michael Frontier, 1127 Lake Ave.

Julie McKenna, 724 Crab Tree Lane

On i-verifytherecall.com Cecilia Anguiano, Laura Betker, Randall Bryce, Michael Frontier, and Robert Wittke all signed the recall Walker petition. I didn't find the other names on the i-verify list, I also didn't look to see if perhaps they signed the recall Wanggaard petition. That should at least tell you what those five think financially and politically. I'd prefer if school board members would do the right thing for the taxpayers, regardless of political/union affiliation, but more often then not that isn't the truth.

The Robert Wittke running for School Board is NOT the Robert Wittke that signed the recall petition. Check the address.

Concerned Citizen I want to SECOND that statement by WisconsinCitizen. Neither Bob nor his wife Alison Wittke signed the recall. The Bob Wittke who did sign was Bob's FATHER.. The 3 best candidate to support from a Conservative point of view today are Kristie Formolo, Bob Wittke, and Roger Pfost..honarable mention goes to Chris Eperjesy.

Concerned Citizen - Bob Wittke will make an outstanding addition to the school board. I know him very well and have been attending the same meetings with Bob and his wife for years. They have children in this district and they are both active volunteers. Not only do I support Bob Wittke, but I encouraged him to run. If you really want to change RUSD, I hope that you will vote for Wittke, Formolo and Pfost.

And one more thing - The Robert Wittke who is running for school board, did "NOT" sign the recall petition.
