A Sneak Peek Into The 2013 Parade Of Homes

The 2013 Metropolitan Builders Association's Parade of Homes will feature 17 homes and the home Tony Alesci built is among them.

The Parade of Homes, which features 15 southeastern Wisconsin home builders, runs from August 17 through Sept. 8 in two subdivisions: The Glen at Blackstone Creek in Germantown and Quail Haven in Menomonee Falls.

Alesci, who owns Alesci Homes in West Allis, said his home, which is on lot 5 in the Quail Haven subdivision, features some craftsman-type elements, like two large pillars in the front entrance, the cherry hardwood floors, and beveled glass in the windows.

The model is about 2,700 square feet, has three bedrooms, formal dining room, a mud room, utility room and 2 and a half baths. The master bedroom features a walk-in closet, a tub and a shower, and a bay window.

"We try to have as little prefabricated product as possible," he said. "So our floors are 3/4-inch solid cherry. They are installed, sanded and finished onsite."

Alesci said the housing market has been strong and he had his best year ever last year.
