Turning to Nutrition in 2012: How to Pick the Right Protein Bar

With so many choices out there today, how do you know if you are choosing the right protein bar? Refer to the chart from Reagan West Fitness, which lists some top protein bar choices.

Are you treating your body right?  Are you trying to make a change in 2012?

If you're looking for a change, but don't know where to start, a great way to increase your health is to take in the proper amount of protein that your body needs to sustain its muscle mass each day. Protein can be hard to find with today's fast food and boxed food choices, which have too many carbs and additives.

If you add some protein to your daily routine, you might be on the right track to building a new habit. But, how do you pick the right kind?  Well, the most raw and natural option is always best.  But, if you are in a pinch and need something quick, a protein bar can be a great way to go.

With so many choices out there today, how do you know if you are getting the right one?  Typically, if they are in the $1 range, you are getting a lot of processed chemicals that your body cannot digest. If you are in the $2 to $3 range, you are getting cleaner nutrients that will do your body much more good. They average about 200 calories a bar, but remember, these are good calories.  Now, simply eat smart and healthy the rest of the day, and you will be on your way to better nutrition in 2012.
