State Supreme Court Election Tops the Ballot in Menomonee Falls

School Board and Village Board incumbents will all run unopposed on Tuesday.

The state Supreme Court election tops the ballot in the Falls since all local races for School Board and Village Board are uncontested.

Village Board incumbents Sharon Ellis, James Jeskewitz and Dennis Farrell will all run unopposed. Jeskewitz (District 2) has served on the board since 1999, Ellis (District 1) and Farrell (District 3) have each served since 2003.

School Board members Gina Palazzari and Ronald Bertieri, both incumbents, are also running unopposed. Palazzari serves as vice president and Bertieri as treasurer.

Menomonee Falls Village Clerk Janice Moyer said roughly 700 absentee ballots had already been cast as of Monday. Last year, she said there were about 600 votes cast the Monday prior to the April election.

Moyer said it’s difficult to estimate whether voter turnout for this election will be higher or lower than normal. She said the village has ordered enough ballots for 50 percent of the registered Menomonee Falls voters.
