Report: Officials Get Complaints About Exit Polling in Menomonee Falls

Group members warned about following procedures but allowed to continue.

JSOnline is reporting that state Government Accountability Board and Menomonee Falls election officials have received several complaints about a group conducting an exit poll of voters in .

A group called Election Defense Alliance was handing out literature too close to polling places in the village, a spokesman for the Government Accountability Board told the newspaper.

State law prohibits the distribution of material with candidate names within 100 feet of a polling place, he said.

Complaints also were lodged against the same group in Butler.

In both communities, those conducting the surveys were warned and allowed to continue their activities, the newspaper said.
