How Much Did Falls Give to Obama, Romney?

While recent polls show President Barack Obama may have more support from Wisconsin voters than Republican candidate Mitt Romney, there are some indications that the race may be tightening.

A Marquette University poll released this week shows Obama leading Romney, 53 percent to 42 percent, which is down from the 14-point lead Obama held in the same poll in mid-September.

Despite Obama leading in the polls, Romney is ahead in campaign contributions In Menomonee Falls. The former governor has garnered $7,205 in contributions from residents through Aug. 31, while Obama received $4,398.

Though more donors were listed for Obama in Falls, Romney supporters in the village wrote much larger checks on average. Each donation for Romney averaged $313.26 while Obama averaged $93.57.
